Who are you and why have you come into my life?

When you hear a voice that literally penetrates through your body and tells you to make a body butter, even without a clear reason, you obey, period. 

Without the big Why, I could easily make up reasons by saying things like, I’m doing this because I have really dry skin, or making products has always been my passion. Well, for me none of that would be the complete truth. But what is true, is that even though I have not been even a mere 20% sure why I was given this assignment, I knew deep down in my gut that refusing to accept the task was not an option. I took action immediately!

I moved forward puzzled knowing that I love to cook and make things for people, but body butter?  The only thing I knew was that it had to be as natural as possible, healthy for the skin and smell really good!

Over time (7 years now to be exact) I singlehandedly created a product (now products) that I have been able to market and sale to people who love them. It would be truthful for me to admit that Authentic Me, the business has been dragging me around like a rag doll in which I have been a willing participant.

Taking action by making products, filing orders, doing shows, storing ideas, quitting jobs, talking with and educating customers, late nights, low funds, not enough help, carry heavy things, etc, etc, sometimes completely burns me out. Let me add this truth, sometimes I completely enjoy it all and sometimes not so much. Um, that’s not how this is supposed to go right? Well it’s my truth.

The pretty pictures, wonderful scents, moisturizing soaps and body scrubs only tell part of the story. I am not ashamed to say that what I do is not perfect nor easy. Most have no clue of what goes on behind the scenes to get it all done. This is way more work than most would imagine.

So what is this entity called Authentic me Beauty and why am I doing it? One thing for sure is that it is so much more than the obvious make and sell body products to make money. Seems odd right? Through all the challenges of doing business what I’ve discovered is that Authentic Me Beauty is really about my personal growth and this baby of mine is really my teacher. For real, for real!

So what am I learning?

I’m learning to trust the process of life, myself and others

I’m learning about the laws of abundance

I’m learning to love and respect my body

I’m learning to have a better relationship with food

I’m learning to have a strong connection with the inner me

This is entity is also teaching me to always tell the truth 

Its teaching me how to love and respecting others 

Its about strenghtening my relationships with my daughters

It’s about having patience while caring for my aging parents 

It’s here to help me work on my buried emotions stemming from my own personal version of girl interrupted, after the experience of getting pregnant and becoming a single mother at age 16.

It’s about the things I’m Passionate about and the things I love to do and even the things I hate to do.

It’s about love, it’s about gratitude, most importantly it’s about my relationship with myself and living in authenticity.

Because of all these wonderful lessons, I am developing a new attitude and with clarity I’m more confident than ever. My love for Authentic Me Beauty is now grounded in pure trust, respect and graditude! But let’s see who drags who from now on.
